Website optimization

Design goal

As part of the website optimization pitch, I led a redesign of the user interface to ensure consistency with the company’s established visual identity, including typography, color palette, and layout structure. Additionally, I recommended specific photography styles, custom graphic elements, and user interactions designed to guide user behavior, improve task success rates, and strengthen the overall brand presence across the site.

Step One

Create a sense of trust

Two critical elements that the current website lacks in terms of creating that sense of trust between users and the platform are photographs and testimonials.

It is crucial for services that deal with life choices and finance to create a sense of trust for the users. A key method is using photographs that correspond to the text.

Another important method is to have a testimonial section. This will offer users an opportunity to hear from others who are in the same situation as them, thus, helping them make a confident decision.

Step Two

Simplify the layout

The graphic element behind the current website is distracting for users. A clean and simple layout can help users focus on the information provided on the home page and emphasis the company’s services.

Users tend to prefer shorter read and information at a glance. Hence, it would be more efficient to simplify headlines at the home page and offer a link to expand.

For this section, since the client is trying to educate and persuade the user on choosing this service, instead of using generic graphics, I designed an infographic that is aligned with the content to grab the user’s attention instantly.

Step Three

Build loyalty

Blogs and newsletters are a way to connect with the users and should be teased at the home page for users to want to sign up or click to view page.
